This is my 8th season offering Yoga and Rock Climbing day retreats to New paltz. There are a few things that will make this year extra special. As i mentioned, I am currently enrolled in a medicinal herbal course and will be able to identify and if we are lucky harvest some herbs from the wild! Second, I will offer an option for a catered picnic lunch! This year I will offer three gourmet options for participants.
Here is what our day looks like, we'll arrive in New Paltz at roughly 9:30 a.m, begin our day with a brisk morning hike alongside a mountain stream in the Peter's Kill preserve, along this hike we will identify medicinal plants. Our hike will lead us to a flat rock cliff where we can practice Yoga for about an hour. After Yoga, we will enjoy our gourmet picnic lunches followed by an early afternoon meditation by a waterfall (time permitting). The climbing guides will arrive at 2 p.m. and assist us in what is called a 'top rope' climb on beginner to intermediate terrain.
HAVE NO FEAR! Your climb will be lead by professional rock climbing guides. The High Xposure guides have undergone extensive training and teach regularly to people of all ages and ability. No experience necessary, our guides regularly introduce people to climbing.
All levels are welcome!
